Multimedia Graphic Design Manager

FULL-TIME

The Multimedia Graphic Design Manager at The Everygirl Media Group will be responsible for overseeing all design, typography, and illustration across our channels including sites, social media, newsletter, branded campaigns, and more. The Manager will work with internal stakeholders to craft a cohesive brand experience across all platforms, including The Everygirl and The Everymom websites, as well as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Clubhouse, as well as emerging platforms. This person will be instrumental in creating and overseeing the look and feel of the brand. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in graphic design, preferably in the media industry, and 3+ years managing experience.

 

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Editors-in-Chief of The Everygirl and The Everymom, the Multimedia Graphic Design Manager will spearhead the visual representation of the brands. This position requires dynamic leadership, strong time management, creative ideation skills, and the ability to execute in a fast-pace editorial environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement a cohesive brand image, art direction, and style to be used across platforms and products
  • Design high-quality visual assets in various formats, which may include digital graphics for the websites (static, social, newsletter, and other formats), web pages, sales materials, packaging, and more
  • Ideate and design graphics solutions around editorial content
  • Translate ideas into mock-ups to get input from stakeholders and iterate
  • Come up with design ideas based on evolving business needs
  • Provide creative direction on branded products and be the point creative person for brand integrations and collaborations
  • Collaborate closely with senior editors, advertising staff, and junior graphic designers to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow amongst designers and illustrators
  • Contribute to ideation sessions, creative meetings, sharing insights, providing expertise and guidance
  • Ensure all projects adhere to client briefs and The Everygirl Media Group brand guidelines while infusing creativity and fresh designs when possible
  • Anticipate team needs and provide on-going general support for design needs
  • Circulate best practices and workflow updates for junior graphics team

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An undergraduate degree (BS, BFA) in Graphic Design or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a design studio, advertising agency, or other relevant business
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience designing for web, mobile, social, and other application platforms
  • UX design and/or HTML coding a plus
  • Adept at leading teams, motivating teammates, and providing actionable feedback
  • Detail-oriented, and organized; able to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on strict deadlines
  • Experience & comfort in a nimble, fast-paced start-up environment on a highly collaborative team
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Social Media Manager

FULL-TIME

The Social Media Manager at The Everygirl Media Group will be responsible for social media content creation strategy and operations across The Everygirl and The Everymom social profiles. The Manager will work with internal stakeholders to craft a cohesive brand experience across all platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Clubhouse, as well as emerging platforms. This person will be instrumental in translating the brand’s lifestyle content, career and finance advice, current events, and other stories from our sites to social media audiences. The ideal candidate has extensive social and digital publishing experience, inclusive of producing content, analyzing insights, and leading a team through the constantly evolving media landscape. The position requires a leader who is extremely organized with exceptional communication and writing skills.

 

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Editors-in-Chief of The Everygirl and The Everymom, the Social Media Manager will grow and lead the team responsible for social content creation, brand integration on social, and community management. This position requires dynamic leadership, strong time management, creative ideation skills, and the ability to analyze data. This person will be responsible for strategy formation across all current and future social channels, as well as the tracking of engagement and traffic through to the sites.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set the strategic direction of social content creation and manage a robust content calendar across platforms
  • Develop new innovative ideas for all social channels and grow reach and engagement
  • Stay up to date on key industry trends, competitive insights and emerging social media/marketing/e-commerce technologies
  • Build out and lead a team of content creators
  • Be the liaison between the social media team and senior management, website editorial staff, and sales and marketing
  • Manage assignments, ensure staff meets deadlines, and provide timely feedback
  • Shape the way the company covers its burgeoning current events reporting
  • Oversee all social content for partnered and sponsored content ensuring all requirements are met, including but not limited to, tags, hashtags, key messaging, photography, etc.
  • Creation and/or oversight of all reporting, including key performance indicators of organic and sponsored posts, with the ability to provide recommendations for optimizing performance and addressing traffic or engagement concerns
  • Attend events or sponsored programs on behalf of the brand

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An undergraduate degree (BS, BA) or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum five (5) years experience of social media content creation experience and two (2) years managing teams
  • Ability to set strategic direction for social media content across all platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Clubhouse, and any new relevant platforms
  • Strong social copywriting skills and ability to tailor content to different platform audiences
  • Adept at leading teams, motivating teammates, and providing actionable feedback
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven, and organized; able to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on strict deadlines
  • Comfortable with data analytics and experience navigating social media data dashboards and reporting
  • Experience & comfort in a nimble, fast-paced start-up environment on a highly collaborative team
  • Passionate about social media and building communities of engaged readers
